In the Eyes of a Friend Ch. 2

" So you all know that plan right?" I asked " Right!" Everyone said. " But remember, you have to anything to get them to admit it to us got it. We only have a 20 minutes to pull it off before school ends so do your best and be quick." " But why cant we just do this tomorrow?" Patty asked. " Because since me and Micheal just got here we don't really understand how to do soul resonance.So Dr. Stein is going to teach us after school tomorrow. And Soul and Maka also are doing an extracurricular tomorrow so we cant do the next part of the plan til they come back! Got it?" " Got it!!" Patty said in a way that kinda worried me. " Ok Ready.......Break!!" I said. Then Liz, Patty, Tsubaki, and me ran down the way Maka walked down. Black Star, Kid, and Micheal went down the way Soul took. The plan was that  the girls will interrogate Maka to admit that she likes Soul. But without mentioning anything about love so she wont gets suspicious. The same thing with the boys. They will interrogate Soul to see if Soul likes Maka, but without mentioning love and her in any way so he doesn't find out.
   We see Maka, it the library reading a book. Still looking pretty mad at Soul about their fight, but still looking like she is enjoying the book she is reading. We walk into the library and sit down next to her. She doesn't notice us at first, but after reading a few more pages she puts down that book and said," Oh, Hi guys! What's up" In the plan, we though of everything.........but we forgot to think of anything to say. So we just look at each other with a black and scared look until Liz said," Umm, nothing it's just...Ebony has a question for you!" I look at her with a surprised and confused look and said, " I do?" Liz said, " Yes you do! Something about you soul resonance lessons tomorrow." she winks. I thought about what she said and understood what she wanted me to say. So I said, " Oh yeah! That question! Since I have soul resonance lesson tomorrow I was wondering, How do you and Soul resonate so well?"  " Well." Maka starting to answer my question," You and your meister have to be truly close to resonate well. If your not, soul resonating can be really hard because you have to match your soul wavelengths together. And that can be hard if you always fight with each other." " So you are saying that you and Soul are very close?" I asked. " Well... yes and no. We have been together for a long time, so we know a lot about each other. But that can also be a big burden." " How?" " Well, you live with him for so long in a cramped apartment you can get on each others nerves a lot easier. Like when he is taking to long in the bathroom and  you have to go. Or when you have to cook dinner and he won't even offer to help! AGH! It can just drive you crazy!!!" " But there can be good sides to it right?" "Oh yes a lot of good things. You can always talk to him when your feeling down. He knows what makes you happy and what doesn't. He always tries to do his best every time we fight together. He can be kind, caring, a little overprotective once in a while, but he will always be there for you." " We are still talking about soul resonating right?" I asked. Maka was lost in her own little world thinking about Soul for a minute. She had a little smile on her face while just lost in her sea of thoughts. Then she said, " Oh yeah! What were we talking about?" We look at each other with a devious look because we knew we were getting close to what we wanted. Then Tsubaki said," Umm we were talking about your relationship with Soul!" " Really?" she asked confused. " Yep I was just about to ask  if Soul liked another girl how would you feel?" Patty said. Maka just sat there looking down at her book. " How would i feel....." She whispered thinking to herself. After a while she said, " Why would I care if Soul liked another girl! It isn't my concern. If he likes someone, he should go for it!" She look at all of us with a little tear in her eye. And stared to gather her things. " Maka we didn't say that he liked anyone we just asked how would you feel." I said trying to clear up the misunderstanding. " Oh, really?" she asked. " Yeah," Liz answered, " For all we know he might not even like anyone!" " Good!" Maka said relieved. " Hey," Patty asked, " If you started crying because you thought Soul liked someone, that means you will feel sad if he did. Why is that?" Maka's face turned bright red.  " Umm I have to go!" She tried to turn around to leave but Liz came behind her. We started to surround Maka so she couldn't escape. " Answer the question Maka? Why?" I said " Yeah Maka answer it" Liz said " Please answer it Maka. Tell us!" said Tsubaki. " Come one! Tell us!!" Patty yelled. We kept repeating those words over and over. Maka started to get redder and redder until she finally burst and yelled at the top of her lungs,  " BECAUSE I'M IN LOVE WITH HIM!!!!!" We all stopped and looked around. The good thing was that know one was in the library at the moment so all of us yelled. " WHAT!!" Maka repeated it queitly and said, " Because I'm in love with him. Ok?" We couldn't believe our ears for a minute. So we stood there for some time with this blank look on our faces. Maka look at us worried that she mentally stunned us. She said, " Umm guys! Are you o......." But before she could finish we all stared to scream at the top of our lungs!. " I can't believe this! I knew you were in love with him!!" I yelled. " But why do you keep it a secret from him? Why don't you just tell him?" Tsubaki asked. " Because," Maka said, " Look at me! Like he said, I'm a flat-chested work-a-holic! Why would he ever like me that way?" " You never know Maka," Liz reassured," You guys have been together for a while. You don't know his feelings. Heck, he might not know his either. So just wait, maybe you'll have to be the one to make him realize his feelings or not." " Ok! thanks guys" She said. Then she picked up her books and walked out of the library. After she was a good distance away from the library, I got out my cell phone and called Micheal. When he picked up i said, " Mission Accomplished!" " Really?" Micheal said. "What did she say." " She said she was in love with him! Like we suspected." " Good. We are on our way to receive the target." " Alright. Don't forget you only have 10 more minutes to capture a retrieve the information we need." " Roger!"  He hung up  and head down the hallway to get soul to see if he's in love with her or not.
